Autumn/ Winter Style

Autumn has to be my favourite season to dress up for, it's where I can remain in my favourite colours and wear them uncontrollably for 4 months straight (including the fact that I live in UK and my clothes colour choices always suit the grim weather).

For me it's an aim of keeping a minimalist, monochromatic and simplistic look (although I wouldn't advice brown for autumn, just noo!)

It officially hit me this week that the cold weather is back and here to stay. As we hit November just a couple weeks ago, we now need to bring out our Autumn & Winter gear from the bottom of our closets (if you haven't already done so) because it's layering season bitches!!!

LAYERING is my favourite thing to do, ever. I'm talking long coats, long jumpers, turtle necks and boots. This winter is going to be hot despite the cold!!!

I feel as though it's that time of the year where we get to experiment with sombre colours, which for me are the "greys, blacks, and navy's". However if we take a look back at fashion week from last year, we can see that it is perfectly fine to sport bold and bright colours (because the fashion world says so).

Looking back at Balmain F/W 2014 collection

Olivier Rousteing brought back my 2009 cheetah print craze, making it incredibly relevant.
Balmain incorporated masses of "greys, blacks, and army green".  Sadly there are several blazers I want from this Balmain collection which I cannot afford but I remain a #Balmaniac (one day).

All in all, if every Autumn and Winter you usually fail to attempt looking decent because you fall into a period of hibernation (I know I do). Consider bold colours for the festive time of the year and stand out. The fall can be fun when you look good !

That's all les amis xo
